Who we are

What we collect

How your timeline is shared

NuaIrish works because people pool their timelines. Your timeline is always included in anonymous community statistics, such as typical waiting times. Your name and email are never shown. Nationality only appears in groups of 10 people or more.

You can't opt out of this while you have an account, but you can delete your account at any time.

Why we can use it

We use your data to provide the service you signed up for (contract), and for security and anonymous statistics (legitimate interests). We don't sell your data, show ads, or use it for marketing.

Who processes it for us

Some of these are US companies. Where data leaves the EU, it is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Until you delete your account. Deleting it removes your account and timeline straight away; encrypted backups are kept for up to 30 days and then overwritten. Statistics that were already calculated can't identify you and may remain.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can:

You can also complain to Ireland's Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
